Introduction | |
WebHare’s Publisher module offers you a powerful content management environment, consisting of one or more sites. A WebHare site represents an environment in which information can be placed into files and folders, and which can then be published to Internet, extranet or intranet sites.
WebHare can publish files of many different types. Some of these files, such as images, audio files and animations, will be published without any modifications. Other files, such as Word documents and HTML files, can be modified or converted by WebHare before publication. For Word documents, this entails the automatic conversion to HTML files, and applying the correct mark-up to these files.
You can add meta-data to all files and folders you publish using WebHare. This meta-data, such as a title, description or keywords, can be used to easily retrieve information and to automaticly generate navigation in your site.
This manual will explain how to create and manage files and folders in a WebHare site. It will also provide information on the many different file types, and how you can use and maintain these.
This manual will not explain how to configure read and write access rights on files and folders. Please refer to the Site structuring manual for more information on these subjects.
This manual is intended for any WebHare user who needs to maintain and publish information.
All screen captures used in this manual assume the following user-specific settings:
· English language
· Standard skin
· Login with Sysop rights
· Advanced interface options

As the screen captures and the options described in this manual assume a Sysop user, some of the options may not be available to users with different rights.
In such cases, the relevant differences will be documented. |
