A website can be much more than static content wrapped in a nice looking package. You can include more 'interactive' elements like forums, polls or surveys in your site. These types of elements usually require a lot of technical knowledge and experience to configure and maintain. That is why B-Lex Infromation Technologies offers the WebPack.
The WebPack module is a collection of website elements like forums, polls, guest books and surveys/form that can improve the interactivity of your website. For example, your visitors can use a form to request product information.
This article is meant for people that develop website designs in WebHare and people access to the HareScript libraries, WITTYs and Cascading Style Sheet (CSS) that determine the design of a website. To integrate the WebPack module you need knowledge of HareScript®, WITTY, HTML and Cascading Style Sheets.
The first step in integrating the WebPack module is to integrate the Cascading Style Sheet of the WebPack module in the website where we want to place the WebPack items.
For each WebPack item you can choose between two options on how you link it to a site. You can associate an item with files in your website, which allows you to quickly change the position of your item and you are able to link it to content in your site. You can also call a WebPack item in a '.shtml' file in your website. This file contains HareScript® source code that creates the WebPack item and allows a more secure method of integrating the WebPack item since you can use a verification key.
After you have linked a WebPack item to your site, you can change the layout and design of the WebPack items. The WebPack module comes with a basic design and layout that can be easily integrated in your site. A quick integration only allows you to change the CSS of the WebPack. If you want more control over the WebPack items you can read the "Advanced control over your WebPack items" section.
